Joins Londinium Chamber Choir under the direction of Madeleine Lovell. Sings Liszt's Missa Choralis in first concert which remains one of his favourite pieces.

Founds and conducts the PureGold Ensemble performing Henry Purcell's Welcome to all the Pleasures, Benjamin Britten's Hymn to St. Cecilia and Purcell's Hail! Bright Cecilia in a Three Ode's To Saint Cecilia concert.      

Continuehttp://www.jonathancrowhurst.com/USERIMAGES/IMG_15411%281%29.jpgs association with Kent Music by teaching there and also with Medway Music Association working at a number of schools across Kent and is vocal coach for the pilots of the 'Sound Factory' scheme.

Joins the Rochester Cathedral Voluntary Choir under the direction of Douglas Henn-Macrae singing services and concerts at Rochester Cathedral. Has similar experiences with the Choir of the Old Royal Naval College Chapel directed by Sean Farrell.

Joins the Holst Singers under the direction of Stephen Layton performing Russian repertoire in his first concert at St. Martin-in-the-fields. Repertoire which is subsequently recorded by Hyperion.

Meets and is taught by singers and conductors including Andrew Watts, Adrian Thompson, Ian Partridge, Brian Wright and Peter Stark. Currently studies with Michael Smith at Rochester Cathedral.

Conducts the Kent Youth Chamber Orchestra in a programme of British music. 'Best of British' includes George Butterworth's 'A Shropshire Lad', Elgar's 'Romance for Bassoon and Orchestra' (soloist Lois Au), Malcolm Arnold's 'Little Suite No.1 and No. 2', Vaughan Williams 'English Folk Song Suite', Delius 'On hearing the first cuckoo in Spring' and Walton's 'Prelude & Fugue 'Spitfire''.

Joins the cast of Hampstead Garden Opera in 8 performances of Blow's Venus and Adonis and Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at the Gatehouse in Highgate. He performs the roles of the Sailor, the Huntsman and the Shepherd and is also a member of the chorus.

Covers rehearsals conducting the Canterbury Orchestra (Tchaikovsky - Symphony No. 5 and Elgar - Variations on an original theme).

In 2010 Jonathan is appointed Music Director of Maidstone Winds and Assistant Music Director of Opera Nova for their production of Mozart's 'Le Nozze de Figaro'.
